Matchbox Lesney 13d Dodge Wreck Truck F Style Repro Box.
The 13d BP Dodge Wreck Truck is a popular model. Introduced in 1965 it continued into the Superfast era.
Commonly found as a yellow cab with green body, the rare and valuable first version of the truck has the reverse colours and a grey plastic hook.
In 1970 some fakes were produced but had a red hook and the framework of the crane jib was thicker like the later castings.
This is a Matchbox Lesney F style reproduction box for the last of the regular wheel issues.

The K Style Boxes were the last of the picture style of Superfast box. Issued in the late 1970’s just prior to the demise of the English based Matchbox business. Later boxes were generic styles with overprinted labelling of the model number and name.

First issued in 1965 the Ford Corsair featuring the roof rack and boat came in a number of box variations. The Matchbox Lesney F style box suits that later issues of the model generally with black plastic wheels. The less common earlier grey wheel version is more likely to use the E style box.
