Matchbox Lesney 23d3 Trailer Caravan Yellow E Style Repro Box.
The Matchbox Lesney Trailer Caravan model 23 was the 4th caravan in the series and the last in regular wheels.
The model was issued in yellow and later pink body with a white roof. This 23d3 issue box features a yellow caravan and is a custom colour issue of the box with picture on the end flap.
The earlier issues that suit the yellow caravan had plain text end flaps and a blue coloured caravan even though the model was yellow – probably because the proto-type was blue and the ‘yellow on yellow’ was not easy to print.
The pink caravans are generally in the later E style or an F style box. This model did not transition to Superfast.
